Need An Intro To Hijab Fashion?

Hijab which literally means veil, is often a one-piece head covering that comes in different lengths and types. The main purpose of the hijab is for modesty. It is to cover the hair and shape of a lady.
There is no definite description of a hijab so it is okay to say that clothing that covers the hair, skin and shape of ladies are hijabs whether as a single clothing item or more.

Over the years, hijab fashion has become a trend in Nigeria so that people who are not Muslims also use the hijab. To them, it is as a form of expression.

There has been a rise of hijab bloggers who are proud to promote the concept of the hijab, what it symbolizes and what it stands for.

There are many hijab fashion brands who are willing to make it more dynamic thus more inclusive since, in truth, there’s no piece of clothing that can be singled out as a hijab. Therefore, they design the hijab, jilbab, Talha, abaya.

Being in hijab means a woman has covered herself except for hands and face and such clothes should not be form-fitting.

Examples of clothing that can be referred to as hijab are :

-Long or short one-piece hijab

-A jilbab; a high-necked, loose robe that covers the arms and legs

-A khimar; A scarf that covers all but the face

-A veil rolled to cover the face while a robe, abaya, maxi dress, maxi skirt, loose pants and shirt covers the body

It is quite a popular opinion that women tend to look better in hijab; plot twist…. and that indeed is now the reason why others who are not even from the Muslim community have a taken a liking to it.

Needless to say, rock that hijab and style and represent it well wherever you go.
